Technical Drafting and Estimating Coordinator

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain drawings and estimates based on project specifications for customer and manufacturing facility.
  • Work with customers to answer questions and facilitate detail and estimate reviews.
  • Prepare some estimates for customers
  • Work with the sales team and production supervisors to ensure the customer’s needs are met at all times.
  • Assist on engineering side with machines.
  • Coordinate with other departments on drawings are being understood.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
  • A knowledge of machining tools and metal fabrication process is preferred.
  • Ability to work as an effective and proactive team player; understands the importance of supporting our customers and sales team.
  • Flexibility - adaptable to changes in the work environment, managing competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to maintain organization and prioritization.
  • Professional written and verbal communications skills allowing for oneself to maintain a courteous and positive manner with customers both internally and outside of the company.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Sigmanest and EPICOR systems. 
  • Drafting software experience is a plus (ACAD and SolidWorks preferred) – On the job training available.
  • Demonstrated pattern of positive attitude, strong work ethic and dedication.

Shearline Operator

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Setup and operate CNC Machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.  
  • Adjust machine setting to complete tasks according to specifications and production demands.
  • Operation of various hand‐operated tools related to steel fabrication.
  • Maintains equipment and performs daily inspections of equipment.
  • Cleans and maintains workstation to be used daily in the production process.
  • Regular, timely attendance to meet organizational needs in an efficient and effective manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Prior forklift and operator experience a plus.
  • Able to be self-motivated, takes initiative and has positive problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated pattern of positive attitude, strong work ethic, dedication, dependability, and timeliness.
  • Basic mathematics skills and be able to read a measuring tape.
  • Ability to understand the English language and follow specific instructions and procedures.
  • Commitment to building a positive culture.
  • Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds frequently.  Over 50 pounds, a forklift or crane will be used.  Must be able to push or pull cart with 80 pounds of force.
  • Perform work standing for eight-ten hours per day, up to six days per week
